Time to Vent

Just need to release a little frustration. I love my hubby to bits but there are times....
Am I the only wife that looks after everything? Bills, groceries, meals, houskeeping etc
Do any of you get to come home from work, sit on the couch until supper is ready then go back to the couch when you are done eating? Or how about not worrying about getting any bills paid?
If ONLY I could go to work everyday and not have to worry about anything except getting out of bed!
ARGH! I am so tired of the stress of making our $ stretch. Some days I go home and do nothing and then I get "What do you want me to make for supper?" If I have to spell out the menu, I may as well cook it MYSELF! Hubby is home early today and I could bet our farm that he did NOT take anything out of the freezer or stop at the grocery store to get something to make.
I am tired and I think it may be time for me to not care whether there is food for supper and what is for supper. Soup works just fine for me.
Thanks for listening

My "other" love

I am realizing that by now anyone who is reading this knows that my loves are my family and my animals, especially my horses. I do have another love.

Its Scrapbooking! What started on a trial basis has grown into an addiction. I have enough supplies to fill 100's of albums
Here are some samples of my scrappin. I will try to post more recent work as the year moves forward. I am stickin to my resolution of scrappin more!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year

There has been so much happening these last couple of weeks.

1. My 19 yr old son is now on his own. His actions and behavior gave me no choice but to kick him out. My husband and daughter do not need his crap either.

Now his Dad (my ex) is the hero and everything is my fault. I am not surprised as both of them go through life the same way. If they make a bad decision or choice it is never their fault alway ssomeone else. That someone else happens to be me. One of the reasons I am no longer with the father of my children.

They are both coming tonight to get furniture and I am not looking forward to that encounter at all. I will be the better person, hold my head up and not let either one of them get under my skin.

2. Christmas has come and gone without incident (except for #1) My family Christmas was one of the bests ever and the inlaw Christmas went by without any nephews stressing us out. My stepkids and grand kids came for supper and presents and everyone had fun. All in all the 3 family Christmases were fun and stress free. A nice change from past years.

3. The foster puppies were returned to the humane society without tears. I already have 5 dogs and puppies need time for training and bonding. Something I do not have. The feed bill for my dogs is already high enough. I know they will be loved whatever home they end up in.

4. New Years was a blast! 14 of us went bowling at our local alley. One booking was a no show and we had the entire place to ourselves. Evryone had so much fun that they want to do it again next year. We played Bingo Bowl for 3 games and played 2 regular games. I bowled 217 my first game throwing 6 strikes!

5. I am so looking forward to 2009. We are planning on renovating our home. We will start by moving my daughter to the basement and making our bedroom bigger upstairs. I have lived in claustrophobia too long. Now it will only be 3 of us and we have room to expand some rooms!

6. My word for 2009 is MORE. I want to ride more, scrapbook more, journal more, love more, laugh more and spend more time with family and friends.

Do you have a word for the year?

What about resolutions? I stay away from resolutions. I am terrible at startign soemthign and not finishing it.

Christmas Countdown

In a week, everything will be over until next year. All the work, stress, $ for one day is getting a bit out of control. I shop all year long and am usually done by October. Christmas has become too commercial for me. Christmas ornaments in stores in September? Carols playing on the radio in October? By the time Christmas week gets here(which starts today) I am tired of the carols.
Oh well, next year we are planning a Christmas cruise with friends.
For 2008 we will be at my parents for Christmas Eve, then home until 27th when we go to the
in-laws. All this running around gets to me too. My hubby and I work hard and want to enjoy the few days off we have AT HOME. Next year we will be doing just that, staying home. Anyone who wants to see us can come to us. lol
My daughter has finally decided that she wants Taylor Swift tickets for Christmas. That was the one gift I had left to buy. Now I can buy it over the internet and not have to "shop" this weekend.
Yahoo! All thats left now is the groceries, booze and cleaning the house. Easy Peasey.
If I do not return before, I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas with thier families and friends. I know my Christmas will be wonderful.

Holiday Stress

I am not someone who worries or gets stressed out unless it has to do $ or lack of it.
I don't get how many people are stressed for a whole month and it is due to the Christmas season.
Isnt Christmas about getting together with family and friends to celebrate life?
There are too many walking heartattacks out there because there is baking, cleaning, decorating, shopping, wrapping, writing to be done. RELAX people! If it stresses you out why do you do it?
Some years have gone by and I decided not to send cards or write letters and it was okay.
It didnt matter to friends and family. A clean house? If people judge me by my housekeeping then I don't need them as friends. Kay enough of my rant.
No matter what you have done, relax and enjoy the season.

My Foster Puppies

Here they are! The 2 puppies I am fostering for the next 22 days. They are both females and Husky/Terrier cross. I think they are just too cute for words! I like the little black one and amazingly enough I found a home for her already! I am hoping to find the brown one a home before I take them back. They are in our barn with lots of straw and a heat lamp. As soon as I go to see them, they start "talking" to me. I have had them for 3 days and so far so good.

Whisper Woods Cabins August 2008

In August 2008, my husband and daughter took our horses

and stayed a week at the same cabins where we spent our

honeymoon in 2006. Friends came for a few days.
We spent the whole week relaxing and riding around
Spruce Woods Park. What a week! We enjoyed it
so much that we have the cabin booked for our
anniversary in 2009. Here are some pics of our week.
